Rough go for Hynes. I didnt think he was a good coach but at least the preds were competitive the past 2 seasons.

A bit random, but I have Saros as a keeper in my one league. Is Brunette's coaching style one that will benefit a goalie usually?

New Jersey didn't give up a lot (He was the assistant there) but Florida when he was a head coach gave up a lot. He was part of the Wild for yrs so, it very well could be a guy who legitimately coaches (like Trotz) and doesn't hammer a system (Babcock).

I hope you are right. That he coaches what he has. I think this could have been an interesting hire for Toronto with their roster... but I doubt Toronto would have hired him after his mishap in the playoffs with Florida last year.

I think this is a clear upgrade. Hynes was really bad in Jersey, and I think the talent level in Nashville masked how bad a coach he was.

Just read that Brunette will be the 4th coach in Preds history. Wow. I had no idea. 4th coach since 1998. Some guys have had some serious longevity there. Mainly Trotz I guess.
