Both guys are UFA’s with unknown salary, term and team - Do you take J. Staal or Hathaway?
Jordan Staal comes with a 3rd in 2024 too.
I should mention they got almost exactly the same amount of fantasy points this season: Hathaway 65.9, Staal got 65.8!
Staal made 6 million, Hathaway 1.5. But as I said, both need new contracts for 2023-24.

Same here. Though Staal will probably get more than Hathaway on a new deal, so if you like spending less on your depth guys, maybe you keep Hathaway.

Thank you everyone. I took his offer and got Staal and the 3rd. I am against the cap, but I think the extra asset will help and maybe Staal signs for close to minimum to help another Cup contender.

I think Staal is more likely to take a hometown discount, and Hathaway more likely to try and maximize money. But with the uncertainty take the pick and run.
