WHL Seeking One Last Replacement Manager for an Exciting $50 Dynasty Hockey League on Fantrax

Face off against some of the most skilled and dedicated managers out there with year-round activities, including UFA auctions, RFA auctions, and General Drafts. Trading discussions never stop.

The thrill of victory is made even sweeter with $400 for the winner, $200 for the runner-up and $100 to the winner of the regular season.

Scoring stats: A, BS, FOW, GWG, G, Hit, PIM, +/-, Defense Scoring (2G+A), PGI, SGI, SOG, Tk, TOI (skaters), SV, SHO, Min (goalies), W, GAA and SV% (14 skater and 6 goalie stats).

Salary Cap: 110% of NHL cap. Player cap hits are actual cap hits in NHL. Contract expirations are based on actual RFA and UFA expirations in the NHL. Up to $15 million in cap space can be traded.

Rosters: daily lineups with min 15 active and max 5 bench, 4 minor and 10 prospects. Only active and bench players count towards salary cap.

We use FAAB (virtual cash) for awards and fees, including FA bidding. The amount of available FAAB is important to roster building and will be used during the offseason auctions to buy additional players.

WHL was founded in 2014. It’s a 16-team PAY H2H league ($50 entry fee and $10 in Fantrax fees and a commemorative trophy cup for the Champion).

Just wanted to say that I've been in this league since its inaugural season in 2014 and it is among the most fun and best managed leagues I've ever been in. The "real contract" based twist on the more traditional dynasty format adds an awesome strategic layer that is missing from the more standard dynasty style leagues where once you have a player, you have him forever risk free unless you decide to trade him. In this league, you always have tradeoffs when you own a player. It means there's lots of different ways to assemble a roster - do you prioritize targeting players with long term contracts, or try to scoop up the productive players on expiring contracts on the cheap? Do you target RFAs to try to get paid for the players as they leave? Etc.

The group has lots of different personalities in it - most of whom are long-timers - and is very active. A challenging league to win but it is very rewarding.

$25 has already been funded giving a replacement GM a discount to join. However, while the guys are rearing to go with a fun two-team replacement draft, we're still looking for one more GM to join us.

This is a really fun format. Two replacement GMs will be taking turns drafting from the combined roster below. But the offseason fun in our league is only beginning with that.

We are soon also conducting RFA auctions based on real NHL contracts where you get to bid FAAB for any 2023 RFA in the NHL (even those with already signed extensions). Later we're bidding on all 2023 UFAs in the NHL also using FAAB. These are really fun and competitive summer events but that's not all the offseason action.

There is also a General Draft after all the bidding. All amateurs and remaining FAs are up for grabs in September.

Trading is also open and there's a lot of trading and trading talks throughout the year.
