Carlsson, Michkov, Smith - Ranking

Hey there, i am looking for some input here. In what order would you draft them?

I have pick 3 and pick 5, so i am pretty much guaranteed 2 of them. Would you pick Michkov at 3 and whoever is left of them at 5? Or would you pick Carlsson at 3 and hope Michkov falls to 5th?

I like Carlsson a lot, but Michkov is very special... have not scouted Smith as much yet...

For me (I've also got 3rd), Michkov, then Carlsson, then Smith.

I know there are actual NHL teams that don't have Michkov in their top 20 for this year's draft list so take that for what it's worth. (my guess is these are all teams that don't have a top 10 pick!)

With that said, I like Carlsson the most of the three. I would likely have Michkov at 4 if I knew the league was going to last for the next decade. If there's any chance of the league not being around in 5 years, than I would be avoiding Michkov.

Im leaving all the politics out of it...there is tons including his contract. But lately Miro get out from under his contact in KHL so who knows when and how will Michkov arrive in NM...

Michkov is the one you want at #3 if he’s available.

For what it’s worth, the guy with the 2nd pick in my league has let it be known he’s drafting Michkov.

If that happens in your league, I would take Fantilli at #3. I just can’t see Michkov falling too far in fantasy drafts.

I would draft Michkov at #2 so you know my answer here. IF you get Carlsson at 5 it's a draft bonanza! But alas, I doubt that so Smith at 5.

After the so far very strong showing at the worlds- Carlsson gets some consideration at 2nd Overall in my league.

Talent, Michkov can rival Bedard apparently. His advanced numbers show he can get there. However, you could be waiting an extra 3yrs for that.

I'd say it's Carlsson, Michkov then Smith isn't in the convo with those 2.

The Tkachuk question, I'd say it depends on the league setup, roster make up, and which Tkachuk. But I'm typically in the "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush" thought. So unless there's some other details to this Tkachuk>Carlsson.
