I’m not crazy about either guy, but would lean towards Kakko right now.
Hi everyone,
Kakko has done nothing but showed flashes at the end of last season and is close to his breakout threshold. With NYRs lines pretty much locked for the next few years he'll might not get the opportunities needed to truly breakout.
I like Holtz's potential and he's done well in the AHL but he disappointed when he played in the NHL.
I might keep both but between the two who do you prefer long-term? I don't expect either to do much in the next year or two.

Kakko has received a regular shot and has not done much with it...
I really like the opportunity that Holtz could have with Hughes or Hischier in the future... I would lean towards Holtz

Kakko scored forty last season and played all 82 games, you will kick yourself if you abandon ship now.
This is a tough decision, but I have to go with Kakko.
If you were to keep both, who are you thinking about dropping instead?

I prefer Kakko
I would lean toward Kakko. He is an NHL lock at this point, albeit not what people have wanted based on his draft position. We essentially know his floor at the moment, unlike Holtz.

Werenski is my other keeper but he's a bandaid boy. I'm planning on keeping him currently. I've proposed a package of players for Bedard too so who knows what my roster will be like at the keeper deadline. Right now I'm assuming no trades and I'm wavering between Kakko and Holtz. I figure neither would be redrafted in the first three rounds.
