Nylander trade
On the fence about this one..
H2H multi-cat points. Dynasty league. My team has been a perineal contender but the wheels have fallen off and so I'm starting a rebuild.
Cats: G, A, SOG, PPP, plus minus, hits, blocks, PIM, FOW and there is a bonus for D points
Start 6 F, 3 D, 2 G
Trade is my Kakko and Forsling for his Nylander
Have been trying to negotiate but seems like this is it, take it or leave it. My hesitance is around Kakko's upside as a 2OA pick and that it is very difficult to acquire D in this set up.

absolutely smash accept, you could only hope Kakko ever reaches Nylander's tier. You're about to acquire him going into his age 27 season this is an easy yes for me. I owned William in my redraft league this past season and he was the most consistent scorer I possessed.

I think that Montour has shown himself better in Florida than Forsling. I think Forsling will be solid but you're trading a potential (Kakko) plus a replaceable D man for a proven good young forward. Good deal for you!

Yeah this is a steal for you. Only thing is Nylander might be getting a bit old by the time your rebuild comes to fruiting but still you could also trade him for a haul of young assets. I’m sure he’ll still be fantasy relevant but just a bit a bit older. Either an absolute steal of a trade.

From a value perspective this trade is fine. What I don't understand is why you aren't trying to shop some of the older vets and instead are dealing a player you believe in who fits into your plan. I don't personally have a huge amount of faith in Kakko, but he's definitely not the first asset I'd be trying to move from that roster if rebuild is the plan.
