Can McDavid net 70? Hit 150 points?
It almost looked plausible for McDavid to hit 70 goals when he hit 60 2 games ago. But he hasn’t scored since. I never count McD out as he always seems to step up when these milestones come however it’s looking less and less likely he hits 70 goals his play has almost tailed off a bit. I still think he’ll hit 150 points but anyone here think he’ll hammer out a couple of tricks in the last 8.5 games??

I think NOPE to 70 goals but YUP to 150 points. Kinda hope he gets to 155 to tie or beat Yzerman so he only has Gretzky & Lemieux above him.

I do not see 70 goals as that is 10 in 7 games, but 155 to tie Yzerman or 156 points to pass him is within the realm of possibility.
The Oilers still have everything to play for and McDavid seems to love going on a tear in the final 10 games...
Oilers have 2 lefts vs. Anaheim (worst GA), San Jose (3rd worst) and LA (17th GA) I say he goes over 155 by season's end.

Doing quick math.
7 games left, 10Goals away from 70g. His season shooting% is 18.8%. If McDavid has 5.5sog/game, that's 55sog x 18.8% = 10.34g
Man that's a tall ask.

So if McD needs 55 shots to theoretically hit the 10 goals he’s shy, statistically he has to get 8 shots a game to hit that 10 goals “theoretically”. Cmon Cap’n Connor!

If Mcjesus doesnt get to 70 which is looking less likely now, i am hoping he gets to 66 whichll surpass Ovechkin in the cap era.

At time of this post he had 60 goals in 74 games which is about 0.81 goals per game...
so a that time he needed 8 goals which is 1.25 goals per game...
i think he hits 155 points or so...but i dont think he sniffs much past 65 G wise.
