Hit by a pitch in the World Baseball Classic, he had surgery on a broken finger and will be out a rumoured 2 months.

True but this wasn't in spring training. Personally, I'm not a fan of this WBC but I get why it's done. Injuries unfortunately are part of any game including the WBC. I still give a middle finger about it though. I heard that the owners of any player(s) who get injured, are given money. That's what it boils down to at the end of the day.

Or you can be Musgrove and break a toe working out.
WBC is huge, has to keep going because of the overseas viewership, and the players are loving it.
With the size of the rosters, they're actually getting like less ABs than spring training. Just more meaningful bats.

I would also think his knee was going to blowup at some point this season if it went celebrating.
I have no medical bases off my thought, but I've always felt that a knee was going to go out at some point if something like this happens.
He could have been running the ball to 1st in a spring training game and it could have gone.
