Sounds like there's some smoke around Carter Hart right now. Would make sense for Philly if they are doing a full rebuild. He's entering his last yr on his $3.979m deal, but holds RFA rights still.

But if you're moving a 24yr old...that is a FULL teardown rebuild. That would put a guy like Tippet even in question.

Ottawa, Detroit, LAK, and Seattle sound like they could explore something in the offseason.

Goalies don't usually hit their prime before 24... this is a risky move if the Flyers do go ahead of it.

There best goalie prospect is fighting in the war in Russia... not sure if he will ever be allowed to play.

Some Flyer blogger tweeted that the Habs 2023 first rounder could be a target assuming it’s around 7th overall. As a Habs fan, I was intrigued but in some ways repelled by this. Not sure to be honest as Habs could use a potential young stud G..

He’d do ok behind a very structured D that doesn’t give up many rush attempts and keeps shots coming from low danger/predictable areas. I really hope the Habs don’t do this.

Yeah i’d be pretty surprised, especially as it’s becoming increasingly likely that the pick will be at worst 6th and maybe as low as 4th.

Hart reminds me of a Samsonov goalie. Athleticism got them to the NHL, but can't make them a strong goalie. If you're too wild in todays NHL you get eaten up.

If you have a strong goalie coach and a system that can keep the goalie rested (tired athletic goalies get sloppy), then you have a chance.

I think it's a bold move to fully tear down in Philly if it involves moving Hart now. But it also depends on his contract demands and what he wants. Maybe he's already hinted he wants out.

At the end of the day, if they feel Ersson is the future, why not try and maximize the return on Hart. It makes sense but only if they feel that strongly about Ersson.

Agreed. Hart is having himself a nice bounce back season, and doing so behind one of the worst teams in the NHL.

this stat may be dated now, but I read an article a few months back stating that Hart has faced the most High Danger Shot Attempts over the past couple of years. If he had an opportunity on a team that had competent Dmen, I think that could be attractive to a team and Hart could thrive.

At this point, I'm going to have to assume it's a Clarke or Holmgren dislike or something. I know it sounds weird, but it would make sense that the rumors are coming from one of those two, probably Clarke. That's also been a rumor for a while, that those guys are still somewhat running the show from the shadows, and it's why they need to get fired.

and didn’t Hextall get fired because he wanted to be more patient with Hart. and now he is in the show and they wanna trade them. Wow.
