Trade for my hirscher
Hi all first post here.
I didn’t make the playoffs so looking for a bit of a rebuild. Been offered a trade for Hirscher for Byfield and Bratt and a 4th round pick. My concern is Bratt upcoming contract and is Byfield going to live up to potential.

That's quite a substantial return for Hischier. Bratt is likely at worst a wash with Hischier and ya, Byfield is a pretty nice throw in. I'd jump on this immediately before the other guy changes his mind. You can worry about CAP when the time comes, and we all knew Byfield was going to be a wait but he fits in nicely with all your other prospects.

Thanks for the replies, the trade deadline passed and didn’t take it. It was tough not to take due to the potential in Byfield but with our scoring system Hirscher scores average 4.26 pts per game vs Bratt 3.57 ppg. Hirscher is a face off beast that is top 5 in league. Anyway good to hear other people opinion. Yes I am in full rebuild sent Sara’s off for wallshedt and first rd pick earlier. My team has been a playoff bubble team and I decided to make some moves to rebuild but Hirscher is pretty young (24) and cheap at 7.2 million so I decided to keep.

You need to not look at players as just forwards. Hischier is a center, and that FOW bonus they get means that they should outscore non-centers. For example, Draisiatl takes a huge hit to his value inthis league, because you can't get those FOW from the wing, but you do get the losses, so he's essentially just a center, unless you're desperate.Originally Posted by Onlyhalfcrazy
