My first round pick is likely to be somewhere in the #8 - 10 overall.
Keeper-grade players (more than 10 I know, but for reference): Buchnevich, Laine, Huberdeau, Eichel, Bratt, Robertson, Boldy, Raymond, Theodore, Dobson, Dahlin, Montour, Jarry
Other notables, possibly as trade bait: Couture, Perron, Verhaeghe, Faulk
I am looking to reinforce my lineup as playoffs are set to begin March 21. Trade deadline is this Sunday.
I believe I am in need of a quality starter. My current goalie corps is Jarry, Hart, & Grubauer. Since my league counts Saves, I can at least win that cat on volume alone, but would like to pile some wins on from time to time, haha.
Some goalies that are (possibly) available for trade: Vanacek (for sure available), Saros (probably not), Binnington, Demko, Markstrom, Murray, Talbot, Hill.
Not an amazing goalie group, but there is some value in there. Saros is an ideal target mainly because he would become a keeper on my team after this season. The others look like rentals to me, outside of Vanacek possibly.
Of my keepers, I would like to move Buchnevich despite him being an incredible offensive producer. His penchant for injury has worn on me this season, and I'd like to strike while he's healthy and producing, and still entering his prime years. Obviously he is valuable so I am not going to trade him just to trade him. It would need to bring back a keeper-grade player to replace him. I have offered him in a trade for Saros, but haven't gotten a response.
Which goalie would you target, if any? And what price, players and/or picks, would you be willing to part with?
I am generally competitive in this league. The top 5 teams hoard most of the talent, so it's a gauntlet getting through the playoffs, but I think I can compete if I fill out the goaltending and make a couple moves to bolster the peripherals.

Hill: should have decent volume on a good team, may or may not be the starter if everyone healthy. Risk factor is huge, he has never proven to be a legit NHL starter

Demko & Markstrom: good goalies playing poorly on mediocre to bad teams. Both are crap shoots and historically always have been.
Talbot - he's hurt right now and injury prone. Just a not.
Hell no:
Murray - TOR Murray is inconsistent and injury prone, DAL Murray is a fill-in

It’s been said on here before but trading away production for goaltending in H2H doesn’t make sense. I would not target any of these goalies. Your group is fine to keep you in every matchup.

Thanks for the feedback all. If I can’t wrestle Saros away or Vanacek for a pick or two I’ll likely just stream a 4th goalie when needed in playoffs. Tough because I’m at the point with roster depth that it’s hard to cut anyone, but that’s a good problem to have I suppose.
