I don’t think you are getting fair value back but if it’s between dropping LT or adding Clarke ( that is how I’m reading this post) then I would think about it….. what other two goalies are you keeping?
looking at trading an injured Logan Thompson for rookie Brandt Clarke.
Standard Yahoo league, G, A, PPP, SHP, SH, PIM, Hits and Blocks, and W, SV%, SA for goalies.
neither would play this year but looking for next year, as already have 2 other goalies to keep and Clarke doesn't count on player limit as he's still a rookie (Thompson isn't anymore)
Would you do it?

If indeed Thompson is expendable (who are your other 2 goalies) then moving him out for a top D prospect like Clarke that you can stash away is absolutely a good idea. However, is LT truly expendable??

hey both thanks - we actually count saves not save percentage, which makes a diff on who to keep
goalies are Sorokin, Thompson and Vejmelka (who has been surprisingly useful)
can keep 2 goalies going in to next year.
Could wait to trade Thompson who will likely return more, but market looks soft; one of the better options is the Clarke option
Two things: Are you competing this year or does this year not matter; How many goalies do you need to start? If your competing and it's start 1, then you're not in bad shape and the deal is viable. If you have to play 2 then you are uncomfortably thin IMO. If you are building for next year then do the deal, I like the return.

competing but in good position; also have Gibson this year as a 4th goalie, and Thompson not coming back soon (so rolling 2 of Sorokin, Vejmelka and Gibson and don't have many goalie games left, as deliberately overplayed earlier in season). Something appealing about just doing a deal and forgetting about it even though it might not be absolute best return.
Who knows what Lehner will be next year, and Thompson could be in a timeshare or 1B situation. Goalies are fickle too, look at Nedeljkovic's trajectory. Clarke is going to be great. It would have been helpful to know more about your roster and league (how many teams, etc.). Still, you have to trade or drop a goalie at the end of the year and while you're hoping for more return, there's no knowing what that'll be. Clarke is a good prospect and I'd rather quality than unknown quantity. More info would be useful, but I'm leaning yes.

Looks like you are in a good position to do this. So, do it (:

I agree with the consensus, this is a solid deal if you have saves and not save percentage. Gibson is best as a depth option when you have no ratios.
