Default Alex Killorn vs Jesse Puljujarvi + 3rd round pick

In our 31 team salary cap dynasty league that counts G, A +/-, hits, takeaways, blocked shots, PPTOI, PKTOI. We use NHL AAVs and the NHL salary cap. We keep players until the become NHL UFAs. My team is currently 10th out of 31 but I am in 5th in my division and 6th in the conference. Top 8 in each conference make the playoffs.

I have been offered Jesse Puljujarvi and a 3rd round pick for my Alex Killorn. Killorn is on the last year of his $4.5M contract that ends in unrestricted free agency. Puljujarvi is on the last year of a 1 year deal paying $3,000,000. It ends in RFA if Carolina makes him a qualifying offer.

Should I trade my Killorn for Puljujarvi and a 3rd?

    My current forward lineup:
    RNH - Tavares - Oshie
    Schwartz - Carter - Killorn
    Bunting - Sissons - M Foligno
    Tatar - Colton - Marchment

(extras: Hagel, Cotter, Gregor, Duhaime, Malgin, Novak)

I think Killorn becomes a UFA, so I'd probably make that deal.

I'm really surprised Hagel is on your bench.

I think you have little to lose here and much to gain. If Puli flops, well, it doesn't cost you a whole lot to find that out. If Puli pops, big win. It's likely 50/50 as to which scenario turns out to be the case. It's well worth a shot IMO. And ya, what's up with Hagel?
