Trade: Vegas has acquired Ivan Barbashev from the Blues for a prospect.

Considering the injuries for Vegas up front this could actually be a good destination for him.

Zach Dean is the prospect going to St Louis for Barbashev.

This is a really good get for St. Louis. The Blues got WAY more for Barbashev than Nashville got for Niederreiter, even though Niederreiter is better. The power of the cap number strikes again.

I don't know why but I thought it was Barabanov that went to Vegas, not Barbashev. Brain fart.
Either way, I like this deal for both teams. I really like Barbashev and think he's got more to give than we've seen . Good middle six guy with some offensive upside.

So far this is looking like a fantastic move by Vegas. Barbashev is on another level playing with Eichel and a great waiver wire pick up if still available in your league.
