If he does get traded to LA, should I be looking to move Doughty before it happens? Doughty has been very consistent in all cats, and he's actually pacing for one of his best offensive season too. I have to think he loses PP1 if Crunchy becomes a King.

I don't see it myself. The Kings are currently rocking the 2nd most efficient power play in the league. Hard to mess with that.

I agree, Chychrun ends up PP2 unless Doughty goes down. although I could see them experimenting with 2 D on PP1 at some point of PP hits a snag.

It’s clear the Capitals are hoping to reset on the fly. Jake Chychrun is a player of interest for Washington. Including the 1st acquired from Boston, the Caps have the pick currency to make it work. The Chychrun saga has been ongoing since Nov, 2021.

yeah i was bit confused with that trade yesterday but this makes more sense now...it also could potentially mean that Carlson his hurt more than we thought...they definitely lack a good PP QB atm.

Because Orlov is 31 and they probably don’t want to re-sign him (or could do in the off-season) so they got assets. That doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Carlsons health and Carlson is already on LTIR.
