I recently acquired him as a throw in on a deal. Don’t know a lot about him. What should I expect short and long term?

Arguably your 2nd best prospect after Zegras. Pretty projectible as a top-6 F. Nashville has struggled a bit with developing their Fs like Tomasino, but maybe he was always just overhyped as a rare 1st round F pick for the team. Wouldn't expect him to be productive for you for at least 2 years.
