Capitals announce they re-signed forward Sonny Milano to a three-year contract extension. Milano’s contract will carry an average annual value of $1.9 million.

Caps definitely working on that whole 2/3rds of our roster are pending free agents thing. Not sure this is the answer. I know Milano's been a hit here, but seems this guy is available on waivers for the minimum 3 times a year. Either him directly or some other version.

That's a pretty big turn of events considering how the season started for him. Thought the Ducks should have kept him around. Good for him locking in.
