So Tua has his 5th yr exercised ($24.3m) for 2024. Safe to say they aren't replacing him after they created all that cap for.....a Jalen Ramsey trade?!

Man they used their cap power crazy well here. He might not be worth the cap he's at, but for a 3rd round pick and a TE...come on. They also can just release him after 2023 season with 0 dead cap penalty...Solid deal by them.

Mike White went to Miami. Jimmy G went to Raiders. Winston to NOS. Stidham to Broncos. Mayfield at the top of the Buccs list. Darnold to Niners.

QB options drying up for the Jets. Your top options are Wentz, Mariota, Mayfield, Bridgewater, Heinicke, Rudolph, Brissett, Lock? Trade for Stafford?

I think Rodgers is the highest talent QB the NFL has seen (when longevity is included). He would be in the GOAT conversation if he wasn't on GB and on a team that would spend. But he has also gotten in his own way, but also won B2B MVPs when he was the most "off the rails".

I honestly thought the Jets should have gone with Mike White as their QB after not being able to get the trade done quickly. But it dragged out, Mike White likely got pissed and disrespected and maybe even by Monday he was leaving regardless of the Jets plans.

So Carr's deal is a 4yr deal, but really a 3yr deal as no way he'll be worth $50m in 2026 so they'll opt out with a $11m deadcap. So $30+$30+$40+$11m=$111m for 3yrs of service for about $37m aav.

I much rather Garrop at $22m than Carr at $37m. Raiders did well here, and it takes off pressure from moving up from 7 to draft a QB. Anthony Richardson might even fall to them, but I doubt it.
