    Default 2023 NFL Offseason

Couple of things to catch up on:
    - Sean Payton is the new HC for Denver
    - DeMeco Ryan is the new HC for Houston
    - Frank Reich is the new HC for Carolina

    Head Coaching Vacancies:
    - Arizona. Apparently no coach wants to go to Arizona as they'll be tied to Kyler for a few seasons
    - Indy

Jets GM isn't making it a secret he wants to go all out to get Rodgers.

Chicago is likely to stick with Fields. Making their 1st overall pick up for grabs.

Tee Higgins is looking like he'll get traded at the draft for a high 1st round pick (a la AJ Brown) due to his contract demands

    Carr to Saints could happen.

    So Carr is released
Lamar Jackson apparently rejected a $50m aav deal with a lot of guaranteed money but not as much as Watson.
Rex Ryan might come back as a DC for the Broncos (first coaching role since 2016)

Guy has commented on an Epstein Clint List apparently supposed to be released soon and about a coverup conspiracy.

But also Tiki Barber said Rodgers was too "Shallow" to handle NY media lol. Can't wait to hear Rodgers response on that.

Derrick Henry is apparently available for trade.

With Lamar Jackson on the non-exclusive franchise tag, apparently he can sign a deal with another team and Baltimore will be given a chance to match. If they elect not to, they recieve 2 first round picks as compensation. I just learned how that works yesterday. 2 first round picks seems light for Lamar, I would have thought they could get more by trading him.

Have to think there's a few teams that would be willing to take that chance on Lamar. I kind of wish the Pats would and just trade Mac Jones. He's a decent kid, but I don't think he's the answer in NE
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

Ya but a team knows they could have just offered 2 1sts for months because he'd get the FT. And a team would only chase him if they know he wants to be there, so why overpay when you can just sign him.

He's a crazy talent, but what system can he produce MVP numbers in while being healthy for his likely 80% guaranteed deal he'll get (he wants a Watson level deal). He also doesn't have an agent, which is hurting him right now. Watson's agent played magic with teams to get him that deal, and Lamar is expecting he can do the same but it won't happen.

Lamar Jackson is crazy talented, but there isn't another offense out there that is built for him that doesn't have a QB. Top spots for a QB:
    - Miami. I think this is a spot for him. Smart HC, solid offense. But the Oline isn't great.
    - Pats. BB is not dealing with that type of QB.
    - Jets. It's pretty much Rodgers or Garap
    - Houston, Indy, Carolina, Raiders, Washington, Atlanta. They'll draft a QB for a LOT less money. 5 QBs for 6 teams. One (Washington) will go dumpster diving.

It's really how much Washington wants to go after Lamar. If the team gets sold before he gets moved, could be a great "Look at us" move. But it could hamper the sale getting a $250m player under contract before the sale. Miami is a solid spot. They are not sold on Tua's health and they need to catch lightning right now in a QB for 2yrs.

Solid breakdown. Agree that Belichick probably wouldn't mesh well with Lamar for sure. I have a really hard time seeing him playing in Baltimore this season after all this drama though. Ultimately I think he ends up in Atlanta, Carolina or Washington (assuming the Jets get Rodgers)

Jets high level official took a private jet yesterday to California and landed today early back in NY. They are apparently clearing cap today. They are either getting Rodgers tmo, or going after Lamar is my guess.

    My QB Carrousel Guess:
    NYJ - Rodgers
    Houston - Bryce Young
    Raiders - Anthony Richardson
    Carolina - Will Levis
    Indy - CJ Stroud
Tanner McKee and Hendon Hooker draft in Round 2, meaning they wouldn't be starting for a team.
    Atlanta - Ridder/Garoppolo
Miami - They want someone else, but I think they settle on Tua now that I found out they don't have picks to get Lamar
Washington - Lamar. This is a huge guess. I don't know how they work it out with the team for sale and him wanting $250m.

Detroit - Lamar or Goff. Detroit has the offense for supporting a running QB. They have the picks (18th) and their 2024 1st. They'd save about $21m in space cutting/trading Goff. However Dan Campbell sounds like a crazy loyal guy. Might not want to throw Goff away for Lamar.

For how bad the NFL Top QB situation is right now, there isn't many suitors for Lamar. Especially for his price tag he has. Also...Lamar I think was influenced by RG3 on not pushing through knee injuries. Does that influence also cover how bad Washington is? Then there's another team off the board.

If Houston wanted the #1 pick they shouldn't have let Lovie go for the win.
