Necas for Malkin

In a keeper league, points only (players in signature not accurate) I’m in the hunt for the win this season and can move Necas to acquire Malkin. I’m hesitant as they are pretty close in points and Necas could be a strong keeper moving forward, although I do have some other good options… you think Malkin out performs necas the final 30 games (if he plays then all lol) making it worth the move? I’m ahead by around 6 points right now. And what are your thoughts on Malkin vs Necas next season? Thanks for the insight!

You have already hit the nail on the head; Malkin will likely outscore Necas ROS, but it will be close, IF he stays healthy. We have a long track record here to work with and IMO the slight difference in scoring does not justify taking on the risk of hoping Malkin stays healthy. Additionally, given the 12 years difference in age and Necas's upside, this is an easy pass for me.

Pass!! I think Pooler are still a little sleepy eyed on how.good necas is. Wait til you see where he's projected at in next years draft. You'll be sick to your stomach you traded a guy like that for Shrek McInjuryward...

If I was in your position it’d take a solid addition to Malkin to move Necas.

This is a good chance to point out the age disparity and try to get a pick and Malkin (if pick trades are an option).

I only do this if there's a sweetener coming back my way. Malkin is old & injury prone. Necas is the safer bet the rest of this year, and moving forward.

If you want Malkin, see if one of your other good options that you're not keeping works.

Malkin is a better player today but may not be tomorrow...1 year league i make this trade...any kind of keeper where Necas is a keeper, im keeping him.
