Stutzle vs 1st overall lottery ticket

Forwards and Defensemen, 1 point for goal or assit
Goalies, W=2 pts, OTL=1 pt, SO=3 pts

My team :
F : J.Robertson, K.Connor, T.Stutzle, P.Kane, M.Boldy, D.Perron, A.Newhook, M.Rossi
D : C.Makar, E.Bouchard, B.Clarke
G : I.Shesterkin, T.Demko, J.Wallstedt

Not a contender this year and probably won't be next year but could be in two years.


Would you trade Tim Stutzle for a 1st round pick who will have 50% of chances of being 1st overall with the lottery in the 2023's draft? In the worst case, this pick will be 2nd overall.

So Stutzle vs Bedard or Fantili

If it's Bedard, it's a big win. If it's Fantili, I think this is a big loss.

I want Stutzle more then wanting anything from Fantili or Leo Carlsson.
Yes it's Bedard and damn he looks bloody fantastic, but at 50% chance I am stuck with anyone else; no thanks.

Stutzle is ppg player in his 3rd season and only 21yrs old. You would be selling someone who legit produces (while still getting better) in the NHL and is young for the hope that either of the 3 guys available can produce like him in 3 yrs. So now you are most certainly not competing next year and most likely the same for the following season.

I would go with the pick because a 50% chance at Bedard is really high for me. And worst case you get a guy who should be Stutzle in a couple of years.

But if you are a "bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush" kinda guy I kinda get it. I'd take the gamble for Bedard personally though. Go for the win, not mediocrity.

How good would your roster look right now if it had McDavid instead of Stutzle?

If that excites you... then I would make the trade!! Even if it is only 50% chance...I think its worth a trade.

This is coming from a fantasy hockey player that has never owned McDavid and would love to get a chance to draft him or own him at least once in his prime!

As the saying goes, nothing ventured nothing gained. As much as I like Stutzle this is indeed worth the venture. Further, if you're rebuilding and a few years out, if you don't win the Bedard sweepstakes you are still getting a hell of a prospect who could be as good or better than Stutzle. It's worth a shot, take it.

Personally i think second best player in this draft....maybe even first one day is Mitchkov but man is this a huge gamble and long wait....i wouldn't do it but based on upside...he is definitely my #2....scoring at near goal a game for 2 years now.

Agreed. Just think how awesome it would be to have Bedard. I know from finally getting a truly elite prospect to pop (Hughes) how much fun that is in Fantasy. And Fanttilli will probably be in the same ballpark as Stutzle if you don't get Bedard.
