Two years at $5.5M AAV. I'm going to be honest, I don't see the point in this - I don't think the Canucks will be competitive by the time the deal is done - and I selling him at the deadline would've made more sense. All that said, the actual contract is no risk, and I like Kuz.

I got to think Boeser is out now. For sure Horvat but that's obvious. I actually think the number and deal are fine but the reasoning I don't understand. I could see this being Tochett and Rutherford having some sort of deal not to leave him with nothing.
With that being said no body ever knows what the Canucks management are thinking.

shooting percentage is elevated for sure but his assist are also down compare to goals....its possible those go up once those pucks deflect and get rebounds instead of going in...i still think he is an amazing talent that will produce over point a game once he gets season or 2 under his belt..if he does that is great contract and it does not matter on what team....

last year everybody was on vegas , how horrible were they moves and how long it will take for them to recover and so on......nobody complains now....
yes Vancouver is bit different as i think they actually have deficiencies in the line up but nobody expected Demko to suck and then be injured third of the season...i think their forwards are just fine...they need to upgrade D...and its much easier to say than do but it would not surprise me at all if they are playoff team next year. And Van is one of my least favorite teams in NHL, i just think many comments about them are exaugurated quite a bit...
