Default Which Junior Team Produces The Most Stars

Which Junior team seems to produce the most NHL stars?

Admittedly I don't follow a lot of junior hockey outside of my Halifax Mooseheads and the top prospects in their draft years.

But I think we are pretty spoiled down here having produced a large portion of today's top talent such as:

    Nathan Mackinnon
    Timo Meier
    Nikolaj Ehlers
    Nico Hischeir
    Mackenzie Weegar
    Jakub Voracek
    Brad Marchand (briefly)

Also still have some other NHL players like Zadina, Drouin, Barron and occasionally Fucale or Frk in the mix.

Going back a little further, we can boast JS Giguere, Alex Tanguay, Jody Shelley, Ladislav Nagy, Pascal Leclaire.

Just wondering if any of you have a hometown team or can think of any other pipelines with such great production.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

London Knights. I may put together a condensed list when I get some free time but for now https://www.hockey-reference.com/ama...am.cgi?t=lks01

^Yes & yes. Of the top of my head I would've said Halifax (Q) and London (O).
I'm less familar with the WHL - and seems they've spread the wealth around a bit there.

My hometown Windsor Spitfires have produced a good amount - as they've had some good teams - but I don't think they've got Halifax and/or London beat for overall NHL quality.
Recent award winners: Wyatt Johnson ('22 Top Scorer), Vilardi/Sergachev ('17 Memorial Cup), Hall/Henrique/Fowler/Ellis ('09,'10 Memorial Cups).

Spits just added this guy - but I think, fairly - that don't count:

London Knights are a factory right now and the first team to pop into my head too.

Looking through the index that Dennis had there on HRef: Kitchener, Oshawa, Portland, Peterborough, SSM, all have some astounding lists from the past, but aren't at London's level in the last decade or two.
In the US, NDakota, then Minnesota, and now Michigan seem to be the cream of the crop.

Wow, I knew London produced quite a few but the volume is crazy. 164 alumni have went on to play in the NHL with 47 current players.

It also lead me to this cool page that shows all the amateur teams and how many have made it to the NHL and how many are currently playing there.

Out of those 47 active players there's 10+ Stanley cup rings in there as well

    P. Kane
    Kadri
    R. Thomas
    Maroon
    Perry
    J. Carlson
    Määttä
    Del Zotto

Surely I'm missing a name or two

I dont expect any junior team to out-class the London Knights.

All that being said, I greatly respect players in junior who dont pull a diva move by forcing a move/trade to one of the more popular teams in the junior circuit. Eg McDavid went to the Erie Otters without complaint and single-handedly made them relevant and probably got more eyes on his linemates like Debrincat as a result.

WHL produced some top guys, but a while ago. Bob Clarke, Trottier, Sakic, Niedermayer, Lanny McDonald, Iggy, Modano, Fuhr, Price, Neely, Weber, Tucker, RNH, Gallagher, Eberle, Jamie Benn, Theo Fleury, RAY FERRARO! But There's not many teams that have the legacies that London and Halifax have.

Out of the WHL, off the top of my head I'd say Brandon, Kelowna and Kamloops are prolly the biggest.

Fun point for Ferraro. He had 282pts in 122gp (2.311ppg) and 149g (1.221goals/game!), which is more than Bedard who has 209pts in 110gp (1.900ppg).

Some Goalies from the WHL besides Price and Fuhr were Martin Jones, Reimer, Kuemper, Pickard, Jarry, Comrie, Adin Hill, Cam Ward, Wolf, Hart, Dubnyk, Stuart Skinner, Ingram,
    12 Team, H2H, Keep 6 (in Bold)
G, A, Pts, PPP, FW, SOG, Hits, Blocks
W, Saves, S%, GAA, Game Started
    2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 1Util, 2G, 5BN, 2IR, 1IR+, 1NA

    C: Horvat, Trocheck
LW: J. Robertson, Byfield (C), Guenther
RW: Pavelski (C), Giroux (C), Svechnikov (LW)
D: Fox, Makar, Bouchard, Morrissey, Gudas
    Util: Meier (LW, RW)
    G: Oettinger, Georgiev, Samsonov, Woll

    London Knights... I mean

just look at the 2015-16 team
Marner, Dvorak, M. Tkachuk, Max Jones, Robert Thomas, Evan Bouchard

Then Tyler Parsons, Juolevi & Mete

That's six legit NHLers from one season.

If we want to cherry pick top players

Perry, Patty Kane, Tavares, Carlson, Kadri, shannahan, Ciccarelli, Sittler, Rick Nash, Horvat, Josh Anderson,

that's just cherry picking name value.

I think it's more interesting that after Knights 47 active players, 4 of the next 5 amateur teams listed are in the NCAA.

Kitchener looks like an old school D factory - Coffey, MacInnis, Larry Robinson, Stevens, Paul Reinhart. Coffee, MacInnis, Stevens drafted IN B2B2B years.

Kitchener 180 - most all time
    Peterborough 178
    London 164
    Oshawa 151

Halifax won't be there because they are a relatively new franchise in comparison 0 33 NHL players (since 1994)... Moncton (96-97 1st year) has produced 45 in comparison.

I'd go with Peterborough. Second most NHLrs, most 1000 game players, most 1000 point scorers.

    Kitchener Rangers - 180 NHL players, 21 active, 4 1000-point scorers +over 900 from hall-of-famers Larry Robinson & Scott Stevens, 6 1000 game players, 3 goalies with over 400 games
    Peterborough Petes - 178 players, 16 active, 5 1000-point scorers + hall-of-famer Chris Pronger, 16 1000 gamers!, 2 goalies over 400
    London Knights - 164 players, 47 current, 4 1000 pointers, 10 1000 gamers, plus Tavares & Carlson who will be, 3 400 goalies
    Oshawa Generals - 151 players, 17 current, 1 1000 pointer, 7 1000 gamers, 2 400 goalies
    other notables:
    - Brandon Wheat Kings- 1424 goalie wins
    - Minnesota most US College players - 116 - 6 1000 gamers
    H2H CONTRACT
    C - Larkin 1, MacKinnon 1, Hischier 2

    Such a great question 4T2!

Funny enough, after reading what others have already posted (and some of my own assumptions/guesses being in that mix), I'm not actually curious which franchises tend to produce the FEWEST guys who make the show.

NCAA is a bit skewed since they recruit - but in the CHL, it's who drafts you (for the most part).

Longevity-wise (eliminating 'newer/ish' franchises) - are there teams who consistenly draft 'high' in bantam/midget and still miss all the time? Anyone know?
