Default Laine + Chychurn or Bratt + Dunn

This is for the league in my signature. RW is my weakest position, so Iím looking to try and make a deal to improve. What do you think of the proposed deal? I see Bratt as a lot better than Laine, but Dunn not near Chychurn. However, Chychurn is my 5th Dman, so I can probably absorb the loss. Bratt would be the best RW on my team. And as a long time Laine owner, I donít trust that he can right the ship in the 2nd half (assuming he doesnít get injured either).

Yikes. That is is close. Well constructed trade. Dunn will regress a bit. Bratt looks to be pretty close to what he is. Laine is a wild card who may be a 50 goal scorer or he may just keep bouncing on and off IR never fully materializing. Chychrun seems to be a stud regardless of team.

What are their prospective points per game right now in your league?

Yeah, it's close. Laine is a complete wild card (and a non-keeper) so moving to Bratt is about trying to de-risk my RW's and bring in more stability. However, this would also create a concentration of Devils on my roster too. Here's their current points per game:

Laine - 4.0 pts per game
Chychurn - 4.8 pts per game

Bratt - 4.5 pts per game
Dunn - 4.3 pts per game

Yeah, I gotta agree with dknw1de, I slightly prefer the Laine side, even with the added risk.

Chychrun is > Dunn and a healthy Laine is a worst equal to Bratt. I think I gamble on Laine to stay healthy, but I understand if you prefer to take the safer health option in Bratt. Laine comes with a home run potential that I don't think Bratt has. I think Bratt is about where he is. Laine may still have a much higher gear. It's a bit riskier, but it is the direction I would go.

    Thats just My2Sense.

That makes sense. Laine drives me crazy, but Bratt hasn't shown true consistency yet (and I would be heavily Devils weighted). So this deal probably wouldn't really stabilize things for me.

Is it safe to assume that swapping Bratt for Nichushkin (4.9 pts per game) or Tuch (4.9 pts per game...also very high shooting %) wouldn't be enough for this deal to make sense?

i dont think this is very close...people did not want to acknowledge this but i been beating this drum for long time....Chychrun is on his way to Josi like performances or very close to that which makes him at worst top 5 D in multi cat leagues....your set up is bit odd without hits but still chychrun is best player in this deal....and Laine has best natural talent in this deal so its easy win imo.
