Ekblad + Nichushkin VS Gaudreau + Dunn
Hello all!
League in signature. Fighting for 1st place. We're 3 points apart, 3rd place is 35 points behind.
I'm looking to boost my team for the second half. Getting annoyed with Ekblad's health, and he'll be a bubble keeper (questionnable for Monday's game). With Hamilton rocking in NJ (at 9M$) and MacKinnon at 12.6M$ next year I might not have a place for him. Mid Season Guide see a very low second half for Nichushkin. I sent a soft offer to the Gaudreau owner and seemed interested.
I was curious to have your thoughts on this trade. Who has the upper hand, and if picks need to be involved, what's your limit in terms of comfort.

I think it really depends on what you want your keepers to look like moving forward.
For the trade itself, since this is points only I don’t mind the trade. Nichushkin gets a lot of value in multi cat leagues, and Gaudreau gets hurt by plus minus. Since those aren’t factors and Dunn is having a career year, it seems like a decent bet

If I'm the Gaudreau / Dunn side, I don't even entertain your offer.
If you can pull it off, it's a great win imo.

I tend to agree- im not sure whats in it for the other guy? No offense but sometimes we construe hearing a guy is available as "I've given up on this guy" lol! Thats not always the case.
Dead ass moment- would you consider this offer? Now repeat the question and answer honestly. You'll likely have to step up your offer...

I think I really overvalued Ekblad. You were all correct in your assessment.
I think patience will be the correct approach.
