If Demko gets traded to a contender, he gets a big boost and is my clear choice. If he stays in the dumpster fire that is Vancouver, he does not excite me like he used to.

on the other side, UPL has emerged as a very attractive own in a dynasty league. Young, and he looks to be their goalie going forward.

I still prefer Demko. This year has been a disaster for Vancouver and Demko, but he's too good of a goalie and he will find his way. I have confidence in his ability to turn it around. He was considered a Vezina contender coming into this season. You don't lose that skillset in a few month.

UPL looks good, there's no denying it, but I still think Demko is the smarter choice for me in a dynasty/full keeper. If this was a 1yr league, my choice would be different.

Agree with this. I own both. Recently put Demko on the block to see what he could garner in our league where young cornerstone-type starters are at a premium. It's a down year for him and a real bungling by the Canucks as a whole, but Demko still has signifiant value in keeper and dynasty leagues. But UPL has played well enough and appears to be seizing an opportunity that he makes Demko expendable for me ... at the right price.
