    Default Pelé Passes Away

Pelé, the Brazilian soccer legend who won three World Cups and became the sport’s first global icon, has died at the age of 82.

As someone who adopted Brazil as my World Cup team to be a fan of, this saddens me.

    heh easy team to adopt

but i dont think you needed to cheer for Brazil or anybody to be saddened by this. Huge legend, i still think he was the best player just played in wrong era. I never seen him life but i seen many of his games on replays.

First Maradona now Pele....lost two amazing footballers in last few years...

Pele certainly made an impression on my father who watched Pele play against France in Paris 1963 with Brazil winning 3-2 and Pele scored all three goals. I believe pele dribbled most of the team on one of the goals. Yes he was one of the all time greats. There is some footage out there of his playing but nothing like what you find for today's players.

If you haven't, give the 1981 (?) move Victory a watch. Pele has some decent acting chops and it's a pretty fun watch.

I remember that movie, Stallone was their goalie and there were more soccer stars in that movie that I can’t recall atm.
