I'd keep Walstad, but would be hesitant to keep any of the other three at all. Maybe Kahkonen to see if he can grab the starters job in SJ if I had to pick one more.

I feel like scmid being a tad undervalued here.

I was a big kahkonen fan but he's done literally nothing.

Conversely I was never a Martin fan despite his results which aren't too bad.

Schmid has a higher pedigree than the casual fan might initially see. We used to look at NJ and say its blackwood crease and they invested some draft capital in Dawes for the future. Then they even ADDED vanecek- lol!

The truth is Schmid has quietly progressed a lot better than Dawes and Blackwood has shown himself to be a train wreck. I think Vanecek is the man for now but his contract up in two seasons (after this one ends) and if they decide to promote internally schmid is likely the frontrunner right now. 2-3 years is a long time don't get me wrong but im not convinced Martin or kahkonen is especially more talented. I'm not convinced they're on significantly better teams.

Did yall know dude is undefeated in 5 games?

Lol I get it- great team, even better D-core, some puck luck but at some point you gotta give some credit to the player.

In that timeliness I have Scmid at 2. I really don't like Martin but if he puts up good numbers all season you could convince me its a tie for 2 but kahkonen is just a hail Mary at this point. Schmid might not be a guy id bet the farm on but he's better than a hail Mery right this second...
