Did I make a mistake trading Tage Thompson

So early in the season I dealt Tage Thompson, I was offered Clayton Keller who I projected to get 70 - 75 points (I also have Schmaltz) and I got Tim Stutzle who I had about the same. I figured Tage would be a 70 - 80 point player but he’s a absolute monster right now, and though overall Keller + Stutzle edge Tage out in points. I think having Tage might have been better overall, this is the same guy I just did a big trade with where I traded Carlson, Boldy, Vilardi for Vasilevskiy, Laine, Debrusk, which I think was in my favor.

Looking for some thoughts, on over the course of the full season if Stutzle and Keller are worth it. Now I normally don’t accept two for ones as generally the person getting one player is on the better side, I guess I didn’t expect such a monster season from Tage.

I think you are okay, because I feel Stutzle for the future is going to be a star. Keller will continue to be a really good player.

You did just fine. Even without Keller it’s a decent trade. Stutzle is going to be a multi-cat star for years. Thompson is electric but doesn’t hit. It was a good trade.

I don’t remember making a post about a Stutzle trade, the only trade deals I think I posted about was the last one I did with Carlson and then a possible Huberdeau deal.

I agree, it’s nice to hear a little confirmation on my end haha. It hurts watching Tage get all those points, but Stutz and Keller have been pretty much a point per game.

So it is a true one year, but a lot of people normally end up with at least 4 of the same players, either due to just drafting them but a lot of times teams trade players right after the draft right back to the team that had them last year lol.

in one year league you maybe bit behind but not much and who knows, i dont think TT can keep what he been doing last 2 weeks..i see him more as what he was prior to that period...

long term i prefer Sutzle, i think he will be top 10 offensive player soon and he got some multicat appeal too.
