Got offered Kotchetkov and 2nd for Cozens.

Cozens is breaking out, but Kotchetkov looks to be legit as well. Goalies are scarce but would I be making a mistake in trading away a potential star player?

Not sure what value the 2nd has. But going just on Cozens and Kochetkov, it seems pretty close. Both look good at having value. If Kochetkov hits, then he'll probably be more valuable in your league than Cozens, depending on lineup format. I'd pick Kochetkov, as the higher reward (but higher risk) choice.

I don't mind this deal for you now, I'd probably like it better for you later. Meaning I think you're buying high on Kochetkov and selling low on Cozens. Once Anderssen is back Kochetkov loses some of his shine while Cozens has a much better chance of gaining in value. For those same reasons, I think you get better value ros with Cozens, barring some unforeseeable circumstance. I would stand pat for now personally, as a speculative deal this doesn't hold enough value for you to be investing as much as is being asked at this point. I'd bet the ogm is aware of that as well and thus felt compelled to add something small to the deal, take that as a sign that you're being played to a certain extent in the short term.

Yes, I would take that offer. Goalies are hard to come by and he is going to be a young up and coming goalie on a team that has injured goalies all the time.

I think you should hold onto Cozens for now.
As I don't think your goalie situation is all that bad and, in a week, or 2 it could be back in strong form. With hope that Freddie is back around Christmas.
Though curious as to what is generally available in the 2nd round of drafting for your league.

Like others have said, the value of that pick is important here. Right now, you might be able to get more for Cozens by shopping him, but I suspect that deal will be there next week, so wait a bit.

Good guys left in 2nd round usually. I got Cozens in 4th round. Guys like Perfetti, Slafkovsky, Wright, etc went in 3rd to 6th round. So the 2nd has good value
