He is one of the few goalies that plays every game except the back to backs, but he has been awful more often than he has been good.

Would you rather have Matt Murray and risk only getting one start in some weeks or keep Binnington and pick and choose matchups until he hits a hot streak again?

If the choice is just those two give me Binnington. Murray is not someone I think you can ever trust. He could get injured coughing before practice tomorrow and he's got a formidable challenger in Samsonov for his job.

Agreed with this. Further, in a 12-team league you need at least 2 full time startesr (and often more) to compete in goalie stats week over week. I would not drop Binnington, who gets a ton of starts for Murray. Given you only have 2 goalies I would consider adding Murray to your team.

    Yes, it is time.

Moreso in keeper leagues, but being good can mask a lot of the idiocy we are seeing on an almost per game basis. Your teammates will still play for you if your game backs it up. Binnington is done, like maybe done from the NHL in a couple years done. Opponents have easy pickings right now to both get him off his game, and to win the game.

You're worried about trusting Binnington, but willing to trust Murray? LOL! Desperate times I guess. Im just waiting for Murray to step on his shoelace and twist his hip.

    I'd stick with Binnington.

Binnington hasn't been above average since 2018-2019. And has been below average since 2019-20. The issue was you invested in Binnington.

He's only getting games because Greiss is worse.

Wins, GAA, S%, and SO as the categories though, and you have Saros...You're not winning GAA or S% consistently to plan on it. So you should be going after volume cats. So I'm sticking with Binnington. You know he'll get starts and maybe he wins 50% of them this yr. He'll start 55games this yr, earn 25-30wins. Murray will get a win 60% of the time, but start 20-30 more games this yr (56 games left in the yr), which means he'll get 12-18wins.

Binnington will get you the wins this yr compared to Murray. But Murray has a higher chance at GAA/S%. However, it's not like Saros is winning you GAA/S%. So just sit with what you have. Having a 12GAA and losing is the same as having a 3GAA and losing.

Soon, if Binnington continues to give up 5, 6 or more goals every game he plays we will start seeing Thomas Greiss a lot more making Binnington a lot less attractive as that everyday except back to back days.

Greiss has so much motivation tonight against his old team the Islanders. Hopefully, he makes the most of it.
