235 views and one response. Am I missing any information here, or are they all basically interchangeable?

Some context would help. Is it for the team in signature? Are we talking about this year, next year, next 3.... Keepers, eyeing a trade, looking for fa pickups? Points, peripherals, both?

Ranking these guys in a vacuum is a somewhat meaningless exercise.

Ok sure. for the league and team below. And given thier ages it’s not for this year, but long term.

OGM has posted some dudes on his trade block and the these guys were the ones I’m interested in. Just looking into a possible trade but I’m pretty partial to my guys so I may be somewhat jaded in thier rankings.

My guys are Chych and Guhle and KJo Slaf and Guenther

I would rank any player who's already playing NHL games, after that it comes down to opportunity and performance and then team outlook

    Addison
Chychrun } these are all fairly close long term, Chychrun and Clarke will have an advantage in peripherals, Chychrun's situation is fluid pending the resolution of trade and where he ends up but he has the most historical value
    Clarke

Guhle- Not on the same level as the other 3. Still could be a valuable depth piece

    Perfetti
    Slaf
    KJ

    Mctavish
    Eklund
    Rossi

    Guenther

Ghule and Guenther can be moved for upgrades I think. My target would be Perfetti or Clarke.

    For long term, I’d say..

Chychrun - Only because he’s got a good chunk more games played under his belt. His injuries scare the living hell out of me, though. Very talented player.

Addison - Has looked slick on the PP so far. Will eventually get to the point where coaches trust him out there for more than just scraps of minutes outside of his PP role. Once he’s in a position to chip in 5 on 5, I expect him to be a regular 60+ guy. Outside of Spurgeon, not a lot in his way for prime offensive minutes.

Clarke - He’s got the talent. No question. Got Doughty, and to some degree, Durzi in his way. Could be a wait until he’s really clicking.

Guhle - As a Habs fan, I love Guhle so much. His offensive game has grown a lot, and I can kind of see where the Weber comparisons come from.

Perfetti - Very excited about him. Super skilled. Will be a pillar for the Jets for a long time.

Johnson - See above, but for Columbus. Ridiculous mitts.

Rossi - The shine on the new toy has faded, as expectations for him out of the gate were not met. However, I do believe he’ll be just fine. Not everyone has instant success.

Slafkovsky - As mentioned, I’m a Habs fan. I like this kid a lot. Eventually Dach will be moved to his natural position and Center the second line. At that time, I expect Slaf to be given a shot with Suzuki and Caufield. If that clicks…look out.

Guenther - Not talked about enough. Arizona factor working OT. Very skilled forward producing on a rebuilding team. I like some of the pieces ARZ has now, and they will almost certainly draft a gem in the upcoming insane draft class. Things are slowly looking up. Guenther will be a huge part of it.

McTavish - If it was just based on offensive potential, I’d maybe have Eklund over McTavish. However, as I said with Chychrun, I would give a higher ranking to a guy who’s already in the league and producing.

Eklund - Really like his skill, though has underwhelming numbers in the A right now.
