Nothing to add here, other than this is an excellent discussion of how to actually improve one's team by trading a strength to fill a weakness.

Using Horvat's crazy production so far and a guy you were going to drop anyway to get a solid "Tier 1" goalie and open a spot on your roster to accommodate Andersen coming off IR or whatever else you do with that spot is solid GM work.

I love this nothing to add post... I am a commish in one league and I praise this kind of trade hoping when the other GMs see it they learn that trading 3 middling dudes for a top tier stud is not the way. This activity is then followed up by, "no one wants to trade in this league", lol.

I like Binnington but man I wish someone would beat the crap out of him every time he pulls this tough guy act. Who knows, maybe he's Ray Emery 2.0 and he CAN fight but I'd sure like to find out. If he can't and this is all an act (my bet) then a good whooping would be all we need to have him settle the F down and stop the foolishness and tough guy act.

FWIW, I don't think the Flower is any tougher than Binnington but it would have been a decent guage to see where Binnington lands. Too bad the refs wouldn't let us find out.
