Given only the information at hand, I'd rather have Lindholm. Stankoven and York look good, but Lindholm is in the NHL and has produced at a high level. I doubt either Stankoven or York ever approach the value that Lindholm has been able to produce.

I think you get the point, trading a high end NHL player for a couple of maybe's that are two, three years down the road and maybe never. Not a good idea.

This isn't even close. You have a #1 NHL centre for 2 prospects. Neither of whom are consider locks or really even blue-chip prospects. Stankoven is good, like the upside, but not sure it matches up to what Lindholm has shown he can do.
York I am not super big on, or really any sort of belief he can be a legit middle 6 player. More faith in Tippett succeeding than York.

I'd also pass. I think York is a NHL D, but I'm not sure he's ever going to run PP1 as the primary guy. You should be able to get somebody young and producing in the NHL somewhat, plus a Stankoven/York type, at minimum.

This thread is great lol. I’m the one with Lindholm. OP has Stankoven and York. He’s trying to push for the playoffs. I’m trying to push for Bedard. I even added in Caleb Jones and Jake Bean, which to be clear aren’t great assets but are at least relatively young guys who will contribute and would be upgrades for his team. OP ultimately declined. I know I was losing the deal but there is a non-zero benefit to not having Lindholm on my team.
