I'd accept if the 2nd wasn't involved, I'd counter with a 3rd and see if they accept that.

    I see the trade as:
    Oettinger for Barkov
    Fiala for Knight+2nd

and I like them, but the 2nd just seems a smidge too high.

I agree with removing the 2nd. Oettinger looks like a stud on a rising DAL team and Fiala is either a first line winger with great exposure or playing sheltered minutes on a strong 3rd line that plays sheltered minutes that allows Fiala to feast.

Knight is at the earliest laying claim to the throne after this season given Bob's cap hit whereas Oettinger has shown he is that guy. That playoff round vs. CGY could have been a flash in the pan, but he's showing otherwise. Barkov is likely a consistent 85-90 point player for another few seasons assuming he stays healthy but Fiala is proving to be just a smidge less production-wise. Statistically, he's scoring at 3.6 P/60, so assuming he continues 17 minutes a game over the course of a full season, that's an easy breakdown of 25-55-80 with 220 SOG per 82 games.

Agreed. I'd in fact counter with an offer not including a pick. Then, go from there. If the 2nd is non-negotiable then I'm likely going to pass, in a keep 4, unless the league has 30 teams in it, well that kind of pick typically nets a very nice fantasy asset and that is driving the cost of doing this trade in the wrong direction.

Agree with this, I wouldn't include the pick either or at least have a 3rd or 4th coming back.
