Is Jones worth Waiver Priority #1?

Seth Jones has become available in our league and I am contemplating using waiver priority to pick him up replacing either Moore or Pionk. I don't recall ever using waiver priority in the past 3 years.

Historically Jones has been great for multi-cat, but I worry that Chicago isn't very good offensively, and when Kane gets traded that will make things worse. Lately it looks like he isn't seeing much PK time and is on the 2nd unit since they are rolling 5 forwards on the first unit. I'm not sure if any of that is going to chance since he just returned.

I'm 6-0 in hits and blocks and could really use some additional support on A and PPP.

With no +/-, I'd get him and let Moore go to WW.

I'd say depends how you're doing. If you're struggling & need Jones to stay in the playoff picture then worth it.

If you you're competitive without him, then I would hold off for someone better that could actually give you shot at the title. Personally I would covet that #1 spot more highly than Seth Jones.

Have you ever seen a player better than Jones hit the WW in your league? If there's history of good players hitting the wire, I might wait. But given that you don't think you've ever used waiver priority, it seems Jones is as good as it gets. I don't mind making the swap for him

I agree with Axe, with no +/-, Jones' value skyrockets. I'd nab him over Moore.

Not sure about your league, but a player like Seth Jones who is racking up close to 25 minutes of ice time doesn't hit the WW market very often. I would get him.
