    Default Hart vs. Raanta or...

    I looked like a genius when I picked up Hart for his undefeated run, but he and the Flyers sure have come back to earth. Now I'm wondering if I should even keep him on my roster. My other goalies are Kuemper and Andersen. Hopefully I get Andersen back soon and in the meantime Raanta would be a decent guy to have as a starter, then a good handcuff when Andersen returns. Kochetkov took a big loss last night and perhaps he's not as stellar as folks thought. I imagine Rod will go with Raanta more until Andersen returns. So should I drop Hart for Raanta, or hope that he regains his form?

    Other G's available are Guastavsson, Demko, Schmid, Montembeault, Murray, Hill and Lankinen - any of these better options ROS?

    I like Murray in that list.
    Considering Raanta seems not to be the clear n°1 while Andersen is out and his numbers are not so great.
    Murray on te other hand is behind a strong team, is clear n°1 (at least when Samsonov is still out).
    So I would lean on Murray, hoping he stays healthy long enough.

    I actually don't believe Demko is as awful as he has started out. The same can be said for the entire Vancouver team. I would pick up Demko.

    I'd also lean Demko if you're going to make a move and want it to stick long term. I think it's close between him & Hart. BOth are entrenched starters on sub-par teams, but are good goalies. They will get you a lot of saves.

    You have 2 ratio categories, so Murray is right out for me. The rest of the tandem guys are tandem guys, and while I like Gustavsson & Schmid longer term, they aren't taking over a net right now. They should both be in the mix the rest of the year, yes I think Blackwood is a backup at best.

    It's a tough decision for sure. CAR started Kochetkov for a third straight game - I'm shocked that RBA is not going to Raanta right now. I guess he thinks PK is for real, and he is still available in my league (along with Raanta). Murray won again, but his stats weren't great. And it seems like Samsonov is coming back soon. Looking at Demko... he has only given up less than 3 goals twice all year. I would have drafted him - he had a great finish last year. But he has really sucked so far this season. And Hart got pulled tonight. So I'm pretty undecided here. But I appreciate the input and rep given!

    To me it’s not a matter of whether or not to drop Hart (You definitely should), but rather who to drop him for. There’s no point in holding him given all of the following options would be better:

    - Murray
    - Raanta handcuff
    - Demko (worst case it’s a lateral move, but Vancouver is more likely to have a better second half than Philly)

    Word is, the team just loves koochie even though he barely speaks English lol.

    And yeah them extending him 4 years speaks volumes

    Raanta and Andersen are UFA after this season. Extending a goalie like kochetkov 4 years usually means 1 thing
