Frustrated by my D! Drop Provorov for red-hot Fowler?

League is G, A, PPG, PPA, shots, hits, blocks, PIM. Start 8 F, 4 D, 2 G. D points are inflated at 7 pts for G and 5 pts for A, while forwards are 5 for G and 3 for A.

Is it just me, or is D really shallow this year? The lone bright spot on my roster is Dahlin. He's followed by Shea Theodore, Michael Matheson (just returned from injury), and Ivan Provorov. I just dropped ice-cold Calen Addison to pick up Kirby Dach, hoping he continues to produce so I can flip him for a defenseman.

I'm so frustrated by Theodore's lack of PP time. I drafted him high and expected him to be the PP quarterback, but I forgot Pietrangelo is also on VGK and he's been a beast, stealing Theodore's thunder!

So, I'm riding with only 4 D at the moment. I'm deep at F, so my goal is to trade one of my deep forwards for a defenseman. D is so shallow that other teams aren't biting. Until then, I'm seeing red-hot Fowler on the waiver wire. Should I drop Provorov for him? Maybe even Dach?

I don’t know your other forwards but if you say you’re deep at forward I think it’s safe to drop either player for Fowler. If you wanna ride the hot hand, drop Provorov for Fowler.

I wouldn't, yousaid it in your post. The D position is shallow and you want to drop a D that plays almost 24 minutes per game and has 8 points? I would definitely try to drop one of your F to pick up Fowler.

Drop a F to pick up Fowler. Better to have more options at D when free agents are slim.

You're right that D is shallow this year. I would like to keep Provorov in your situation but it also depending on which F you could drop. I wouldn't drop Dach for Fowler right now.

While Fowler may be red-hot now, I don't expect that to continue. I wouldn't make any drastic move unless you're getting rid of someone that you feel you could pick back up again in FA later.
