What happens when Comrie returns from conditioning stint?

With Comrie back up, it looks like UPL is still the starter. I suspect they will try to trade one of Comrie or Anderson? But all signs point to UPL being the starter going forward.

With the signing of Levi, do you see a value in UPL next season as Comrie is signed for next year as well? I think it'll be Comrie and UPL sharing the crease with Levi being recalled and play if there's an injury.

Devon Levi is 21 years, 3 months old. Only the highest echelon of goalie prospects can produce at 21 in the NHL. More likely than not, he's at least 2 years away from relevance. Comrie and UPL should combine for the lion's share of crease time, injuries permitting.

I also think UPL will be the starter down the stretch but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Levi gets a few starts as well. Next year there will be an interesting battle for the starting and back up rolls in Buffalo. I think the Sabres' will move on from Andersson and it will be a three-way battle between Comrie, Levi and UPL for those two spots. I do think Levi will be given the opportunity to earn one of those rolls, but I also agree with the others that if he does earn a spot out of training camp he will be in a some elite company and the odds of that happening are indeed limited.
