Sounds like Correa's deal will be very different if him and the Mets do in fact work it out.

Correa, Boras, and Cohen were a trio built to blow up.

    - You got a player ok with lying and cheating to get his end goal
    - You got an agent who's only goal is to get the max money from a team, regardless of winning
    - You have an owner who has the ability to buy a championship, and hasn't dealt with Boras too much, but I'm sure has dealt with a "Boras Like" person in his industries and beat them.

Surprised they were able to get this done. They let a couple of their faces leave after doing the same dog and pony show of saying they want them. But pressure from players and coaches was apparently building, and this might be the "if we don't overpay for Devers, then we'll lose everyone".

I don't think Boston is that good and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish 5th in the ALEast. So I think if they approached Devers, Bogaerts, Martinez situations properly, then they'd at least have a direction. Oh well, must truly believe in their prospect pool of Mayer (#7), Casas (#25), Rafaela (#96), Yorke and Bleis.

I won't lie, I wasn't expecting this either. All signs pointed to him walking after this season but I guess that was all smoke and mirrors from Devers camp.

Correa and Twins "gaining steam" as the Mets and Correa aren't figuring it out.

This could very well just be Boras talk though
