Wild. Normally a team makes FA moves like they have when they have a solid prospect foundation to compete. But the Rangers have nothing. Plus they're competing with Houston and Seattle. Yikes.

They will not win with this team.

They dropped big money on Seagar and Semien last year. Might as well keep spending big.

I don't know how I feel about Texas signing deGrom. If I was a fan, at least my team is willing to pay out money, which is surprisingly rare in the sport. However, deGrom doesn't change their potential win totals much, especially for the price tag. But they do have their 3 stars (Seager, Semien, deGrom) and from now on they should just fill out needs instead of more big splashes. The upper spending limit will likely jump in the next few yrs.

But if I'm Texas, Rodon or Verlander would have been the guys I go after more for pitching. Or go full fantasy and attack Judge. I rather spend $38m aav on Judge than $37m aav on deGrom.

If deGrom is like some of the other ex-Met pitchers though...and he can get through a season with limited injury issues. Omg, that's a sick signing lol. But coloured me tickled as a Jays fan, deGrom going to Texas is a location I don't mind at all.

I think it's SF or NY for Judge, but money talks and we'll see. As a Jays fan, I'd love to see Judge walk but not to Boston LOL!
