    Default Freddie Andersen

Putting up a thread so we can share updates on his injury.

He left practice yesterday injured with pretty much no details. Proactively picking up Raanta now would be wise. Could be anywhere from almost nothing to possibly a longer term injury
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

He is one of my 3 Goalies along with Husso and Talbot, so I will be watching this closely.

Just put Anderson in one of my IR slots and picked up Quick as insurance until he comes back.

I can see Raanta and Kochetkov going 60/40 if this drags on for a while.

No Raanta in my league, but was able to pick up Quick. It was between him and Comrie.

He is back on ice but still not sure when he'll return. At least he is skating.

Progress is progress, but we've seen Andersen get onto the practice ice before and it was still a month + away from returning.

As a Raanta manager, you should be concerned with the number of starts Kochetkov is getting over Raanta.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Andersen is glass and as a matter of fact so is Raanta. Kochetkov is sitting pretty if he can keep up the way he is playing.

Well he's activated. Expectation is he'll play today unless there's a setback.

It should be very interesting. If they roll with 3 goalies, I can’t see them doing it for long.

Do they send Kochetkev down to the minors? Do they trade Andersen or Raanta? Waive Raanta and hope he clears waivers? Excited to see how this plays out.

Best asset management is Kochetkev gets sent down after Andersen plays a few games without a setup. That gives the Hurricanes time to shop Raanta (I would think they want Andersen for the playoffs) then make a decision at the trade deadline; if no one wants to give anything for Raanta they can waive him and bring up Kochetkev.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
