Evander Kane cut

Super scary stuff...cut on the wrist by the looks of it in inadvertent Maroon skate while Kane was on the ice. Lots of blood. Hope he is ok.

He has a deep cut on his wrist. He was stabilized and has gone to the hospital. Kane will have surgery on his wrist. He will be OK.

Ya that was scary. No one is talking about the slewfoot Myers gave him that caused the fall in the first place, but whatever. At first, watching it when it happened, it looked more like he had hurt or dislocated his shoulder the way he was skating off the ice. He certainly went to the bench in a hurry but the play had moved on so the camera wasnt stuck on Kane and it just showed Kane skating furiously to the bench kinda humped over. It wasn't until they showed the replay (20 times over and over during the broadcast) that you could see what the injury actually was. That was a lot of blood for a cut to the wrist.

Ya I noticed the slewfoot too but didn't think it was super blatant; not sure I would have called a penalty there if I was a ref.

As far as time away, I am assuming that Kane will need to miss significant time here. Probably need to see what kind of tendon, ligament or nerve damage there is. Hopefully we know more after the surgery.

Nice to know he's OK and will be back eventually. A rested Kane for the playoff run could be just fine for the Oilers. Let's see if the other wingers can pick up the slack.

That must have cut a muscle in his wrist to have a recovery of 3 to 4 months. I am just glad the trainers jumped on it quickly and controlled it and he will be okay.

this is scary stuff...tbh im surprised it does not happen more often with the amount of collisions out there and speed of the game. Im just glad he is ok. u can bleed out pretty quick with that cut.

this is an awful injury and i dont wish it on any player, even the shitshow that is evander kane, as it is very scary and life threatening if not treated immediately and properly.
