But I meant to go with Sanderson over Addison... as I think Sanderson is a far superior two-way defensemen that will get better with each game.

I think Beniers is going to run away with this.
Thompson is solid, but I think the workload runs him over at some point... he hasn't seen 50gp since his CHL days.
Also - at some point in rookie-winning... people start "expecting it"... and that sets in in a bad way with most young goalies (see Mason, Steve, Carey, Jim and Raycroft, Andrew.)
Then again... those guys I reference DID do it for a full/partial NHL season, not falling apart until the subsequent season. So - I guess I've countered my own reason. D'oh.

Still... I think Thompson will be top3, even as VGK trades for their playoff-run vet goalie in Feb.

Probably one of my better prediction posts of the past-season.
    Woohoo.

A few people had a goalie in the discussion, just not the right goalie. Not many could have predicted that Skinner would be the runner up for the Calder where as a lot had Beniers on their dance card.

Thread/Poll was posted Oct.29th by RD.

SKinner had just 3 starts, was 1-1, at the time - and Jack Campbell hadn't yet started falling apart (he was 4-2 at the time).

Logan Thompson had a bunch of votes because he was 4-2, 1.69gaa, .943sv% in October - when the poll was posted.
Hard to ignore those numbers... but I think I was the only person that suggested he might not be able to ride out a full year of workload.

VGK did (!) trade for a veteran goalie (Logan was well-injured by then)... they did play Quick quite a bit in March/April... he just wasn't their playoff goalie.
