I currently have access to SN NOW standard through the portal by using my BellTV subscription. To access Premium, I need to basically pay for the standard again rather than just the additional $50 that it should cost for the upgrade. I asked support to advise a discount code that will remedy this situation so I don't have to essentially pay for standard twice and they had nothing. Has anyone found a way around this?

So Im trying the snet app via chromecast dongle to my tv and the picture is decent but it has kind of a frame drop look, the puck kind of stutters across the ice. Its ok but i get a better stream from my computer likely because its hardwired and has better processing power.

I hope you find a solution, you will still have to pay for internet regardless so you are only cutting the cable. Still all considered you will save about a grand a year if you cut the cable and pay for the snet sub.
It's interesting for sure. For me, I definitely have different priorities than most. As I said, I don't really care about the money at all. I would happily spend 250 bucks a month for a reliable high quality service. I just want it to work and want it to work well.

I now have SN Now since NHL Live is no longer an option for me here in Canada. So far, it's awful. It takes about 8 clicks in the app to find any game if I can find the game I want at all.

You must have a different app then. I’m on mybtv and find the games in 3 clicks including firing up the app?? Anyway if that extra time on the clicker makes it awful then likey nothing was gonna suffice. Lol.

I just did it, takes 6 clicks to get to the NHL portion of the Sportsnet NOW section of the SN app.
Click1 to open the SN App
Click2+3 to open SN Now section
    Click4 to open "leagues"
    Click5 to open NHL section
    Click6 to open game

However, to open up the "featured" shows/games it's 4 clicks if it's on the Home page. This is on Android, not sure about Apple.

ill be honest i haven't used my phone for this app, only through my tv.. Samsung SmartTV...i downloaded the SN Now app, subscribed to SNNOW premium and all the content i want is on there...runs smooth, was watching teh TSN feed of the Sens / HABs on SN as im out of market here in SK.

i assume that any IN Market games id get on SN anyway so im covered...

ive read ALOT of comments on FB etc that re bashing the SNNow Premium for blackouts but i would bet they are looking at SNNow and not Premium as teer are very few BO on Premium, onythe In MArket stuff that would likely be n SN regular (cable) or SNNow (streaming). again if you are a cable watcher and have SN in your package SNNow is FREE...

geez i should charge SN for all teh salesman work im doing here

samsung smart tv's get 1080 p for the app so that helps your situation . some other platforms like firesticks only get 720p from the app .

so far the stream quality hasnt been that great tbh during these preseason games . the isles- flyers had crisp and clear commercials and in studio commentary but the game itself looked only slightly better than standard definition . Worst case scenerio I go back to bell satellite tv next year and buy center ice through them but i'm really rooting for this SN app to deliver good quality for my isles vs XYZ fix

I signed up for SN Now recently just to try it out and I've definitely been watching more sports. The mobile app isn't the best as there are frequent timeouts and you can't have it open while doing other things. I know the latter sounds ridiculous, but the Bell app allows you to do this so I've just become accustomed to it.

I know it's not SN but I was rattled that I needed to pay for a TSN+ subscription to watch the Frozen Four. That's ridiculous.

I hate the direction streaming sports is going. It's going to choke hold everyone into either getting cable to watch local teams+TV shows, or pay cable prices to get every teams game.

Android Box is the way. But still a monthly payment...ridiculous. I wish streaming sports stayed underground.
