I would lean towards a prospect, I think.
I am in a h2h, cap hit, dynasty, multi-category league. Contributing players on minimal contracts are gold in this format, and Mark Giordano is of obvious interest to many this year. I have a late first round pick and am wondering if I should draft him over a prospect? I guess it's a matter of whether he has much offense left in him or not, or if he's more of "just another peripheral guy" at this point? Those guys can always be found later in the draft. But if he's more than that, there won't be a chance to get to him with my second round pick.
I have some 4 million dollars and two spots to fill, so cap room isn't much of all issue, and I'm a contender. Outside of the "big four" and Matt Savoie, there should be a few of those second tier prospects left at my pick.
