Demko/Zellweger+
Thoughts on acquiring Demko for Zellweger+ future 1st rd rookie(few years down the road). Doing this as at some point Bob will decline and no longer be useful to me.

I'm loathe to spend premium assets on goaltending given their volatility. That being said, it doesn't look like your league setup is one that greatly favours the idea of drafting/developing goalie prospects so you kind of have to invest in goalies as they've established themselves. I dig Demko, but I'm not sure this is an investment I'd make.

With Saros and Vasilevskiy on your roster, even if Bob fails it's not that big a deal. Demko is the same age as those guys so it's not as if you're buying extra years. I think you're solving a problem that you don't have, and I'd recommend holding onto those assets (1st plus a good D man) for a deal down the road.

If you do this, would you then trade away a different goalie to get back down to 3?

Most likely not as Bob would net not enough in return where i’d be better off holding him until he rides into the sunset and Vas and Saros hold too much value to me in the window i am currently in to consider trading away.Originally Posted by stevegamer

I would ride with 4 and have insurance for when/if one falters/gets injured.
