Guentzel for my Thompson/Clarke/2023 1st (WILL REP)

Not for league in sig. I'm in full on win-now mode. I already have Crosby and Rust so I would be locking Pittsburgh's top line and #1 PP unit. I have Igor, Sorokin and Binnington as my goalies (start 2 each night) so don't need Thompson who I picked off the wire last season. I really like Clarke but he's only 19 and at least 3-4 years away from making an impact. The pick will be likely in the 8-10 overall range and I already have 2 other 1sts.

Am I overthinking this? Should I just pull the trigger? Will rep where possible. Thanks in advance.

I don’t know your roster or scoring so u need to make decision yourself … but I’m having hard time seeing any format or situation where difference between Tage Thompson and Guentzel is 1 st (top 10 in2023 ) and Clarke.

Unless it’s Logan Thompson in which case I would do it.

I read this as clearly being Logan Thompson as you mention not needing him due to goalies.

When I read the title I was thinkibg Tage Thompson too - and still would have considered the deal if you're in win-now mode.
Thompson being Logan Thompson, it's a no-brainer for me. Even if Logan becomes Vgs new starter you could shrug your shoulders aftereards given the Gs you already have.

Made the deal. Ended up being Guentzel for Logan Thomson, Brandt Clarke, Samuel Fagemo and a 2023 1st. I’m all in so giving up futures that may never pan out doesn’t hurt short term. Even if they all become stars I don’t really care. I got a bonafide 27 year old 40 goal ppg star and that’s all that matters. Getting a player of his caliber without giving up any key pieces is pretty sweet. Thanks for the help boys!
