Props for getting them both.
IIRC, Mercer was getting center-time for NJ last year and pretty well sucked hard on the dot, 35% FOW.
NJ's liking towards him allowed them to trade-out their C3, Pavel Zacha.
C3 is not an upside-pointing position though... and I think Mercer will "regress" in scoring this year.
(I think he had a very magical rookie season.)
That's going to make it really hard for him to put up points there.
Perfetti, right now, seems slated for the remaining top 6F position with the Jets (C1 Scheifele, C2 PLD and Connor, Wheeler, Ehlers).
This gives him massive upside this year... if he can hold that spot.
So... if you have to make a decision down the road this year... Perfetti >> Mercer.
I think Perfetti could do 40-50pts... and Mercer, I think, will be more 30-ish.
