Drafting players 2-3 rounds early?
I have my draft tonight in my league shown below. E. Kane is listed at 78 in Yahoo, which would put him in the early 5th round based on rankings. For reference, I draft 8th each round, 10th in the 1st. Would it be crazy to draft him in the 2nd round based on our cats? I'm not sure he'll be there towards the end of the 3rd.
These are the players listed from position 11-20 in the redraft. Players in bold are players I'm looking at.

If Oettinger is the best goalie available you may want to consider him. Although in a Keep 4 with 10 teams I would imagine there should be other goalie options available.
I also agree that drafting Kane in that spot is definitely not crazy. You might be right in thinking he won’t be there in the next round.
Take Kane in that spot and enjoy.

The fact that your team is without a Goalie, you might want to consider Oettinger to fill that need if he is the best option going into the redraft.

There are several goalies that I'm hoping to target in the 3rd and possibly 4th if there's a run. Markstrom is a 1st rounder, then Otter, Andersen, MAF followed by Demko in the early 4th. Demko is my target goalie based on his ranking. Guys like Jarry, Swayman, Kuemper, Hellebuyck, Talbot and Campbell are ranked even lower. I'm hoping to get one of, JT Miller, Zibby, Meier, DeBrincat or Robertson with my 1st pick.

Kane went early 2nd round and then came the goalie run, super early this year and all the planning went out the window. I ended up getting Lindholm and Robertson with my 1st 2 picks before grabbing Jarry.
